South Windsor Police Log for Aug. 24 - 29

Olivia Lachelier, 21, of 9 Ensign St., East Hartford, was charged on Aug. 24 with sixth-degree larceny for allegedly taking $140 worth of baby formula from a grocery store on Ellington Road. Lachelier was held on a $2,500 surety bond and presented in Manchester Superior Court Aug. 27.
Michael Jackson, 21, of 104 Oakwood Ave., West Hartford, was charged on Aug. 25 with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana, and littering. According to South Windsor police, Jackson was in a vehicle parked in the lot of the Eli Terry School when an officer approached the car because of the smell of marijuana coming from the car. The officer found 4 small bags of marijuana and a bag of hashish. Jackson was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Sept. 6.
Matthew Elder, 21, of Morgan Farms Dr., South Windsor, was charged on Aug. 27 with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive in the proper lane. According to police, after a series of roadside sobriety tests Elder was charged with the above violations. Elder was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Sept. 10.

Steven Cerasli, 56, of 347 Keeney St., Manchester, was charged with second-degree harassment based on an arrest warrant stemming from a 2011 harassment investigation into Cerasli allegedly sending unwanted and harassing text messages to family members. Cerasli was released on a $3,000 non-surety bond and was presented in Manchester Superior Court on Aug. 28.
Jose Martinez, 33, of Springfield, MA, was charged with second-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny stemming from a May 2012 counterfeit check investigation. Martinez was held on a $5,000 bond before being presented in Manchester Superior Court on Aug. 28. Â

Matthew Polczynski, 30, of 802 Twin Circle Dr., South Windsor, was charged with breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor. On Aug. 29, police responded to a domestic dispute and learned that a man had threatened and physically assaulted a woman in front of 2 juveniles. Polczynkski was held on a $2,000 surety bond will be presented at Manchester Superior Court on Thursday morning, Aug. 30.
Nicholas Suchenicz, 27, of Feeding Hills, MA, was charged on Aug. 29 with sixth-degree larceny from a shoplifting incident, involving a significant amount of energy drinks, that occurred in May. According to police, Suchenicz fled the store but the incident was captured on surveillance video. Officers later determined Suchenicz’ identity and obtained an arrest warrant for him.Â
