South Windsor Police: Man Caused Disturbance at Target

Andrey Desmond, 20, of New Britain, is facing breach of peace and interfering with an officer.

A 20-year-old New Britain man is facing several charges for his alleged unruly behavior at the Target located on the South Windsor/Manchester border on Saturday.

Andrey Desmond allegedly started yelling inside the store, smashed a bottle of juice on the floor and slapped a cell phone out of a customer’s hand, according to police Lt. Scott Custer.

Desmond fled the scene prior to the arrival of police and a canine team tracked him to a nearby wooded area.

Custer said that Desmond was also uncooperative during booking and spat at officers.

Desmond was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer. He was held on a $4,000 surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on Monday.
