South Windsor Provides Notice to MDC Customers

The South Windsor Town Manager submitted the following letter Tuesday, Nov. 12:

Dear MDC Customer:

The Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) has notified the Town of South Windsor that they will be holding three meetings on the MDC 2014 Budget:

• The Water Bureau will convene a meeting on November 13, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. and recess at 5:15 p.m. to conduct a public hearing regarding budget-related ordinance revisions, including revisions to those ordinances relating to water rate service rates.  Each speaker will have three (3) minutes to express their views on the proposed ordinance revisions.  The Water Bureau meeting will reconvene at the conclusion of the public hearing.

• The Board of Finance will hold a meeting on November 18, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. regarding the proposed 2014 budget.

• The District Board will hold a meeting on December 9, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. to adopt the 2014 budget.

The public is encouraged to attend these meetings and contribute to the discussion of the proposed rates.

The meeting and public hearing for the Water Bureau will be held at the MDC Training Center at 125 Maxim Road, Hartford.  The meetings of the Board of Finance and the District Board will be held at the MDC headquarters on 555 Main Street in Hartford.
