South Windsor Roadsides to be Treated with Herbicides

Use caution while driving.

The Town of South Windsor recently announced that designated streets in town will be sprayed with herbicides beginning on or around Friday, Aug. 9.

TruGreen Commercial Services will provide the treatment to areas that "present vehicle site line problems and have excessive vegetation growth along sections of guide rail," according to the town.

Affected areas will be marked by white signs with red lettering stating the beginning and end of the spraying area.

The following streets are set to be treated, per a town news release:

  • Main Street;
  • King Street;
  • Strong Road;
  • Foster Road;
  • Clark Street;
  • Brookfield Street;
  • Troy Road; 
  • Rye Street;
  • Windsorville Road;
  • Griffin Road;
  • Graham Road;
  • Dart Hill Road;
  • Beelzebub Road;
  • Sand Hill Road; and 
  • Peterson Way.
