
South Windsor resident Kelsey Junious recently competed in the 2013 USAT National Championships in Chicago, where she came away with two big victories.
Junious, 15, won the junior (15-17 years old) and the adult (17-32 years old) world class sparring female black belt divisions, according to a post on the Hartford Courant Web site.
She will now represent the United States at the Junior Pan Am Championships on Sept. 20-22 in Queretaro, Mexico, and has qualified for the adult national team trials, according to the post.
