South Windsor Week Ahead: Town Council, Zoning and Garden Club

Some notable things that are going on in town this week.

Good morning, South Windsor! How was your weekend? Did you go to Heritage Day? Did you walk in the SWPEF's family walkathon? Let us know. From what I hear, those organizations did a great job.

Here are a few things going on this week, from government meetings to garden club. If there's anything else you want your neighbors to know about, share in the comments.

Here's five:

1. The Town Council meets Monday to discuss a number of items, including meeting rules and procedures, the Capital Improvement Fund and a union contract. The work session starts at 7 p.m. and regular meeting at 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers. See the full agenda here.

2. The Town Planning and Zoning Commission meets Tuesday at7:30 p.m. in the Madden Room. Full agenda is here.

3. The Parks and Recreation Commission meets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Sprenkel Room. No agenda has yet been posted. It may eventually be posted here.

4. Also on Wednesday, the town has its weekly car seat checks from 8 to 11 a.m. at the South Windsor Fire Headquarters. Details are here.

5. There is a Down to Earth Garden Club meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Avery Street Christian Reformed Church. All are welcome. Details here.
