South Windsor Woman Killed In Middletown Crash: Police
Police say one woman was killed and another woman is in critical condition after a crash late Friday night in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A South Windsor woman was killed and a woman from Hartford is in critical condition after a crash late Friday night in Middletown, according to police. Leticia M. Lennon, 38, of Chapin Street, was treated at the scene and pronounced dead, according to Sgt. Doug Clark.
The crash occurred just after 11 p.m. near the entrance of 485 Washington St. in Middletown. Emergency crews, including police, fire, Hunter’s Ambulance and Middlesex Hospital paramedics, responded to the scene, according to Clark.
“A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2017 Nissan Rogue was traveling westbound on Washington Street approaching the area of 485 Washington Street,” Clark wrote in a press release. “A 2010 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound in the right travel lane also approaching the area of 485 Washington Street. The 2017 Nissan Rogue crossed over the solid double yellow lines at the center of the roadway and subsequently crashed into the 2010 Chevrolet Silverado.”

Lennon was driving the Nissan Rogue and Cherise L. Sheff, 38, of Hartford, was the passenger. Sheff was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment. She was listed in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, according to Clark.
The Chevrolet Silverado was being driven by a 17-year-old male and a 54-year-old East Hampton man was the front seat passenger and a 17-year-old male was in the back seat, according to Clark. They were all treated at the scene and taken to Hartford Hospital for further treatment. They were released after receiving treatment for minor injuries, according to Clark.
