SWPD Posts Marathon Traffic Precautions

The South Windsor Police Department Traffic Unit is reminding motorists about the Hartford Marathon passing through town.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The South Windsor Police Department Traffic Unit is reminding motorists that on Saturday the Hartford Marathon will be traveling through South Windsor.

The race route includes King Street and Main Street and the roads will be closed to all traffic from approximately 8 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m.

Police suggested that Main Street and King Street residents who anticipate needing to leave during the race park their vehicles on Chapel Road, Pleasant Valley Road, Newberry Road, Governors Highway, Strong Road, and Sullivan Avenue.
