Taylor Swift's (Possible) New Home, Library Programs, Top Dog
Here are five things going on in the area today.

Good morning, South Windsor! Today is Tuesday, April 30, 2013; there are 245 days left in the year.
Well, one week ago I swore in my first guest Daily 5 that I wouldn't bring up Ted's favorite female singer, someone whom he has nicknamed Tay Tay.
After much consideration, I thought it would be an injustice not to mention this tidbit of information in a Daily 5, particularly one that runs everyday on the site that Ted launched.
Drum roll please...
Tay Tay is moving to New England! Maybe.
According to the Providence Journal, a stately mansion in the Watch Hill section of Westerly, RI, sold for a cool $17.75 million this week and rumor has it that Taylor Swift is the buyer.
I guess only time will tell or another indicator could be how many trips Ted tries to take his family on to the Rhode Island beaches this summer.
Here’s your Daily 5:
1. The reading round-up will be held this morning at 10 at the children's room at the South Windsor Public Library.
2. Also happening at the library today, don't forget about the Friends of the Library Book Sale. It is open from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Friends Book Sale Room.
3. There's a special Planning and Zoning Commission meeting tonight at 7:30 in the Madden Room of town hall to discuss the Plan of Conservation and Development.
4. The town Top Dog contest starts on Wednesday, May 1. Contact the Town Clerk at (860) 644-2511 ext 226, or Animal Control at (860) 648-6239 for more information.
5. There's a child safety seat check at the South Windsor Fire Department Headquarters on Ellington Road from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1.
