Traffic Advisory for Memorial Day Parade Released
The parade will be held on May 29. The parade route will be closed to vehicle traffic at about 9:45 a.m., and will reopen around noon.
From South Windsor Police Dept.: The South Windsor Memorial Day Parade will be held Monday May 29, 2017. The parade route is from the staging area on South Satellite Road to Nutmeg Road South to Pleasant Valley Road. The parade will then proceed into Veterans Memorial Park for a memorial ceremony.
The parade route will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at about 9:45 a.m., and will reopen at about 12:00 noon. Persons attending the parade can park on side streets and at Veterans Memorial Park, however the parking area will be closed during the ceremony, traffic may not exit the park until the ceremony concludes in the interest of pedestrian safety.
