Ted is off today, but don’t fret. Although this will be a much less entertaining Daily 5, South Windsor Patch is still here to provide you with a quick look at five fantastic things happening in and around town today.

  1. Don’t forget to register today for one of the super cool, winter children’s programs at the South Windsor Public Library. Registration starts at 2 p.m. in person and 3 p.m. by phone.
  2. If you have a special needs child who is between the ages of 10-15 and who might be interested in yoga, Inner Light & Soul Yoga is offering a special class designed just for him or her. Call (860) 757-3900 or click on the link for more details.
  3. Anyone know what wheel thrown pottery is all about? Nor do I, but if I lived in South Windsor I’d head on over to Greenleaf Pottery to find out.
  4. The South Windsor Youth & Family Services is hosting a dinner to benefit The Sandy Hook School Memorial Scholarship Fund on March 1 at the Charles Enes Community Center. Tickets are on sale now through the town human services office.
  5. The South Windsor High School boys varsity swim team has a meet this afternoon at 3:45 at Starhill in Tolland versus Manchester High School.
