- Michael Bachiochi, class of 2021, from Stafford Springs, has been named to the President's List for the fall 2019 semester. The President's List is an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers who earn a GPA of 4.0 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.

- Curry College is proud to announce that Lindsay Albert of Stafford has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester. Albert is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in Nursing. Albert was among roughly 1,000 students that have received the distinction, a marker of academic excellence and high achievement. To earn a place on the list, full-time undergraduate students - those who carry 12 or more graded credits per semester - must earn a 3.3 grade-point-average (GPA) or higher.
Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- The Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors baseball team was off to a 4-1 start in its 2020 season of play before the NCAA cancelled all college sports through the end of the school year due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. Nonetheless, 39 student athletes made the team, which was vying for another competitive season in the Little East Conference (LEC).
Among the scholar athletes are Luke Broadhurst of Stafford Springs, number 20, who plays infield/outfield, a junior who majors in Sport & Leisure Management, and Andre Jose of Willington, number 19, who plays outfield, a sophomore who majors in Exploratory Professional Studies.

- Lindsay Malootian of Stafford was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Malootian is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
University of Iowa, Iowa City IA
- Sarah Wallett of Willington was one of more than 2,800 current University of Iowa students who participated in the 26th annual student-led Dance Marathon which raised more than $2.8 million for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. The exact amount raised by Dance Marathon participants over the past year and announced at the student organization's annual "Big Event" was $2,879,755.26, a total which pushed the amount of support generated by Dance Marathon over the course of its history to more than $30 million.
