Thousands Of Dollars Stolen From House Of Worship In Willington

A Buddhist temple in Willington was burglarized, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT — Thousands of dollars were stolen from a house of worship in Willington early this week, state police said.

The burglary at the Lao Buddhist Temple was discovered at 10 a..m. Monday, according to an incident report. The temple is located at 40 Cisar Road.

State police said it appears to be a case of forced entry. A safe was taken with more than $19,000 in it, according to an incident report.
