Goodwin College, East Hartford CT
- Goodwin College announces that 992 students achieved Dean's List status for the spring 2019 session. Stafford residents making the list were Peter Wilson, Cassandra Boucher, Stacey Hery, Timothy Isham, Todd Jaramillo, Jennifer O'Sullivan, Sarah Post, Jacob Warner and Brittaney Wittenzellner. Also on the list are Willington residents Brittany Bassett, Kristine Holland, Nicole Newcombe and Stephanie Petrolito.

- At the undergraduate commencement on May 19, 695 bachelor's degrees were awarded. Including the degrees awarded at the graduate ceremony on May 18, a total of 1,265 degrees were awarded over the two days. At the graduate commencement, 522 master's degrees, one certificate of advanced graduate study, five Doctor of Philosophy degrees, 36 Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees, and six Doctor of Psychology degrees were awarded. Graduates from Willington were Laura Townsend, bachelor's of science degree in Health Science, and Jennifer Jacobi, bachelor's of science degree in Psychology.
- Springfield College has named the following area students to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the 2019 spring semester. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester. Honorees from Stafford and Willington and their majors are Emma Halloran of Stafford Springs, Art Therapy; Laura Townsend of Willington, Health Science; Jennifer Jacobi of Willington, Psychology; and Shannon Stuart of Stafford Springs, Recreation Management.
