Difficult Brush Fire Contained In Stafford
The fire covered about two and a half acres on Route 32 near the Massachusetts border.

STAFFORD, CT — A "difficult brush fire" was contained Monday on property near the Massachusetts state border by Stafford firefighters, with mutual aid provided by several neighboring departments.
The fire at 381 Monson Rd., also known as Route 32, covered about two and a half acres of field and forest, according to a Facebook post by the Stafford Fire Department No. 1, Inc. The fire was described as "very rough and remote."
Fire departments from Willington Hill, Crystal Lake, Monson,Mass. and Wales, Mass. helped stop the fire. Somers, Wales and Willington firefighters provided station coverage.
