Duck On Highway Leads To Crash In Willington: Report

A duck on the highway was cited as a factor in a two-vehicle crash in Willington, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT — A duck on the highway was cited as a factor in a two-vehicle crash in Willington this week, state police said.

The crash took place at 11:02 a.m. Wednesday, according to a state police report.

A 2014 Ford Explorer driven by a 67-year-old woman from Naples, FL was heading eastbound in the left-hand lane, just prior to Exit 70, when it was hit by a 2002 Toyota Avalon driven by a 33-year-old man from Hopedale, MA, that had been in the center lane, according to a report.

The driver of the Avalon said he swerved left to avoid a duck on the highway, according to a report.

No injuries were reported.
