Man Caught With Cleaver At Willington Truck Stop
A Pennsylvania man running from Massachusetts authorities was caught with a cleaver in his car at a truck stop in Willington.

WILLINGTON, CT — A Pennsylvania man running from Massachusetts authorities was caught with a cleaver in his car at a truck stop in Willington while trying to hide, a state police report indicates.
At 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, Connecticut state police at the Troop C barracks were contacted by police in Southbridge, MA, about a man who fled a domestic violence incident, according to a report. Cell phone "pings" placed him in the vicinity of a truck stop in Willington off Exit 71 on Interstate-84, a report indicates.
State police located the man, identified as 36-year-old Javier Reyes-Otero, of Philadelphia, PA, in the parking lot adjacent to the Rodeway Inn, trying to hide his vehicle beside a trailer, according to a report. State police then located a "cleaver knife" in the glove box of Reyes-Ortero's vehicle, according to a report.

Reyes-Ortero was charged with possessing an illegal weapon in a motor vehicle for the cleaver and with possession of a controlled substance after state police found cocaine residue in a jacket pocket, according to a report.
State police also executed an extradition arrest on him.
