Man Charged In Connection With Stafford And Ellington Burglaries

A Hartford man has been charged in relation to burglaries in Stafford and Ellington, state police said.

STAFFORD/ELLINGTON, CT — A Hartford man has been arrested in connection with burglaries in Ellington and Stafford.

Warrants were served on 41-year-old Daniel Perez this week, state police said.

The Stafford job took place on Feb. 21, according to a warrant. Someone appeared to have thrown an object thr0ugh a window at the Big Y gas station, a warrant shows, A damaged CT Lottery machine was found inside, according to a warrant.

That same day, surveillance showed a forced entry burglary at the Ellington Depot General Store on Crystal Lake Road during which cigarettes were taken.

For that caper, Perez was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree lareceny, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal mischief, according to a warrant.

He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree for the Stafford incident, state police said.
