Stafford, Willington Coronavirus Update: 42 Cases Now Confirmed

The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus has reached 38 in Stafford and 4 in Willington, according to state health officials.

STAFFORD-WILLINGTON, CT — Over the Easter weekend, the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus reached 38 in Stafford and four in Willington, according to updated figures provided Monday afternoon by state public health officials.

In Connecticut, the number of confirmed cases is up to 13,381. Statewide, the number of deaths related to the virus is up to 602, with 1,760 patients currently hospitalized. Just over 44,300 people have undergone laboratory testing thus far, officials said.

Though its percentage continues to drop, Fairfield County continues to compile the highest number of confirmed cases with 6,004, or 44.9 percent of the state's total. Stafford and Willington are located in Tolland County, which has confirmed 195 cases with 17 deaths.
