Stafford/Willington Coronavirus Update: 50 Cases Now Confirmed

According to state health officials, the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus has reached 46 in Stafford and four in Willington.

STAFFORD-WILLINGTON, CT — Updated figures provided Wednesday afternoon indicate the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus has reached 46 in Stafford and remains at four in Willington, according to state public health officials. In Connecticut, the number of confirmed cases is up to 14,755. Statewide, the number of deaths related to the virus has reached 868, with 1,908 patients currently hospitalized. Just over 50,100 people have undergone laboratory testing thus far, officials said.

Though its percentage continues to drop, Fairfield County continues to compile the highest number of confirmed cases with 6,480, or 43.9 percent of the state's total. Stafford and Willington are located in Tolland County, which has confirmed 216 cases with 22 deaths.
