Tractor Supply To Put 18th CT Store In Stafford

STAFFORD, CT — A new Tractor Supply Co. store is coming to Stafford on a unique parcel on West Stafford Road.

The Stafford Planning and Zoning Commission on Tuesday approved a special use permit as part of the site plan for the project.

The Stafford store will be the 18th Tractor Supply outlet in the state. Nearby stores are currently in Enfield and Vernon and North Windham.

The 54 West Stafford Road site will include a building measuring 19,097 square feet and more than 20,000 square feet of display areas (something Tractor Supply is known for) outside the store, plans show.

Among other things, the parcel has on it now an old antiques store and a home and some abandoned vehicles.

Tractor Supply has been advertising for a store manager in Stafford online.

The chain has more than 1,700 stores in 49 states.
