CT/PA — A suspect sought by authorities in connection with a pair of homicides in Connecticut was last spotted on surveillance video on train tracks in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, according to police in that state.

Peter Manfredonia, 23, a student at the University of Connecticut, is suspected of killing Theodore DeMers, 62, on Mirtl Rd. in Willington Friday. He left the scene on a motorcycle, which was recovered in mid-afternoon Friday at the end of Old Town Road, off Fermier Road.

According to state police, Manfredonia committed a home invasion early Sunday morning in the Turnpike Rd. area of Willington, during which pistols and long guns were stolen. The victim in the home invasion was not injured, but Manfredonia took the homeowner's vehicle, traveled to Derby and abandoned the stolen car near Osborndale State Park. State police said Manfredonia had an acquaintance, Nicholas J. Eisele, 23, who lived on Roosevelt Drive in Derby. Upon checking the home, Eisele was found dead, and another person was reported to ahve been abducted, police said.

The abductee was found unharmed and the stolen vehicle was recovered in New Jersey near the Pennsylvania border, and New Jersey police contacted Pennsylvania State Police in Stroudsburg. Investigation revealed Manfredonia was dropped off by an Uber driver in front of the East Stroudsburg Walmart. Following an interview with the driver and a review of security camera footage, it was determined Manfredonia walked behind Walmart onto a set of train tracks, carrying a black duffel bag believed to be filled with guns stolen during the Willington home invasion, police said.

Manfredonia is described as standing 6-feet-4, weighing 240 lbs., with short hair. He was last seen Sunday wearing dark shorts and a white T-shirt. Pennsylvania State Police said he does not have known ties in that area and has no vehicle, so he is likely to solicit ride sharing services to flee the area.
