9-Year-Old Girl Seriously Hurt In Tolland ATV Crash
A man and three girls were not wearing helmets in an off-road crash that left one of the children with serious injuries, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A 9-year-old girl was seriously injured in an off-road, all-terrain vehicle accident in Tolland Monday night, state police said.
The crash took place just after 8 p.m. in a wooded area off Mountain Spring Road, according to a state police report.
According to the crash report, a 30-year-old Manchester man was driving a Bombardier ATV with three children on it — ages 9, 6 and 12. He was negotiating a left-hand curve and lost control of the ATV, which then slammed into a tree, according to the crash report.

No one was wearing a helmet, state police said.
Both the driver and the 9-year-old girl were thrown from the ATV, according to the crash report. The 9-year-old was taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center via Life Star helicopter with seriously injuries .

The 6-year-old girl and the 12-year-old, both girls, had minor injuries, according to the crash report.
