TOLLAND, CT — Tolland election officials have posted the absentee ballot rules for the May 4 budget referendum.

Pursuant to Gov. Ned Lamont's Executive Order 10E related to the coronavirus pandemic, all "eligible electors" may vote by absentee ballot.

The budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year has been presented at $57,214,882. That's an increase of 1.81 percent, or $1,032,385 over the current year. The tax rate would increase to 37.11 mills, so residents would pay $37.11 for every $1,000 of assessed property.
