Another Tornado Confirmed In Connecticut Saturday, NWS Says
The state saw more extreme weather Saturday and another tornado was confirmed for Connecticut.

Another confirmed tornado occurred in Connecticut on Saturday and this time it was in Woodstock, Conn. which is near the Massachusetts border. Woodstock is a town in Windham County. The population is about 8,000 people.
According to the National Weather Service, a confirmed tornado occurred on the west side of Woodstock and two corn fields were damaged, an oak tree split in two, and the "initial estimates of a path length of one-block, a width of 8 yards..." Woodstock joins several other Connecticut communities that had confirmed tornadoes the past few months including Southbury/Oxford, Hamden and Beacon Falls, Barkhamsted, and Winsted. And while Brookfield didn't have a confirmed tornado it was still devastated by a severe storm in May. Most recently, Ashford had a confirmed tornado last month. This is now the sixth confirmed tornado in Connecticut since the middle of May.
