The idea of knitting prayer shawls originated with two women from West Hartford. Shawls are knitted in groups of 3 stitches, and the number 3 has come to symbolize the following ideas: the Trinity, phases of life (child/adult/senior), acts of existence (birth/life/death), and other life symbols of three. These beautiful shawls will be on display at the Harvest Craft Sale. They will be available to anyone personally in need of a prayer shawl or as a gift. A donation equal the cost of the yarn will be appreciated [$15].

The Knit and Pray group meets once a month on Saturday mornings for two hours.

If you are interested in joining this knitting group, please call the church office for more information (860-875-4160) and ask for Kim. You do not need to be a member of this church in order to be a part of this group.
