Brakes Blamed For Truck Fire In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A tractor-trailer caught on fire Sunday afternoon along a stretch of Interstate-84 in Tolland.

The truck was traveling east between exits 68 and 69, fire officials said.

The brakes had caught fire, but it was already out when firefighters arrived, authorities said.

A fire crew cooled the truck down with water as a precaution, officials said.
