Car Collides With Bucket Truck In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A car appeared to have hit a roadside work detail that included a pickup and bucket truck on Tuesday.

The crash took place at about 11:15 a.m. near No. 192., fire officials said.

The lane heading into Vernon was shut down while crews cleaned and investgated the scene. The bucket truck was moved onto Fish and Game Road and the pickup appeared to have a dented rear driver's side fender. A black sport utility vehicle was being loaded on top a flatbed.

A state Department of Transportation sand truck was requested for a fluid spill, which could be seen near the Fish and Game intersection.
