Car Wrecked After Colliding With Truck On I-84 In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A car and tractor-trailer collided on a stretch of Interstate-84 in Tolland Tuesday evening.

The crash took place at about 6:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway between exits 67 and 68, just after the Mountain Spring overpass, fire officials said.

One person had to be cut out of a vehicle, fire officials said.

The eastbound side of the highway was closed for about two hours. fire officials said.

One person transported to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.

A state police report on the crash was not completed as of midday Wednesday.
