Massachusetts Woman Killed In Crash On I-84 In Tolland
A fatal crash closed a section of Interstate-84 on Thursday in Tolland.
TOLLAND, CT — A Thursday evening crash on Interstate-84 in Tolland claimed the life of a 21-year-old Massachusetts woman, state police said.
The crash took place at 5:57 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway between exits 68 and 69, according to state Department of Transportation officials.
The crash closed I-84 Eastbound for three hours, fire officials said.

Madison Wetnicka of Sturbridge was , MA, taken to Hartford Hospital via Life Star helicopter, where she later died, according to a report. The second driver, Yetzaveli Cervantes, 24, of Willington escaped serious injuries, according to a report.
A report indicates Wetnicka was driving a 2007 Toyota in the right lane, and Cervantes was in a Subaru in the center lane. Wetnicka was changing lanes and the her Toyota struck the Subaru, according to a report.

She then lost control of her the car, which rolled over, according to a report.
Wetnicka was thrown from the car and it appeared she was not wearing a seat belt, according to a report.
The stretch of I-84 where the crash took place is tricky and hilly.
