TOLLAND, CT — Tolland's annual budget referendum is slated for Tuesday.

The proposed 2021-2022 fiscal year budget and an extensive firehouse improvement project are the main topics.

Voting is slated for the Tolland Recreation Center, 104 Old Post Road

The budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year has been presented at $57,214,882. That's an increase of 1.81 percent, or $1,032,385 over the current year. The tax rate would increase to 37.11 mills, so residents would pay $37.11 for every $1,000 of assessed property.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Only registered Tolland voters may vote in the referendum.
