To the Editor:
It is my great pleasure to endorse Christine Vincent for election to the Tolland Town Council.
Why do I endorse Christine? I have known Christine for forty years and in that time I have been
privileged to experience her intellect, energy, wonderful sense of humor, as well as her advocacy for, and
commitment to, the Tolland community.

She has been employed in the private and public sector, has a strong background in research and public policy, and as a grant writer, secured funding for a variety of adult education initiatives. Her record of successful collaborations with local and state agencies is evidenced by her work in creating partnerships with post secondary institutions and non-profits which provide education and career opportunities for individuals
returning to the work place.
Christine is also a natural advocate for Tolland, having been an active member of the Tolland Board of Education. During her tenure as a board member, she advocated and supported numerous education initiatives. As a former BOE member, Christine is familiar with the policies and processes of government.

This knowledge, along with her passion for the town, will assist her in achieving her goals. She values the small town feel of Tolland and will work to keep our sense of community intact and vibrant. She is also mindful of the need to maintain Tolland’s excellent record of fiscal responsibility all the while looking for
opportunities to partner with other communities to achieve savings and to provide maximum
services to the residents of Tolland. She seeks to give back to the community that has given her
so much.
For all these reasons it is my great pleasure to endorse Christine Vincent.
