Letter: Singing Praises For Harrold

To The Editor:

I am writing in full support of Incumbent Michelle Harrold who is running for the Tolland Board of Education as an Unaffiliated candidate. It is so exciting to have a resident who wants to represent all residents without the political side of it. This way she can focus truly on the issues at hand without being swayed into party line’s agendas.

I have served with Michelle Harrold over the last four years. Her passion for education and wanting to make a difference for every student to succeed is an understatement.
Michelle is the current BoE Secretary, Negotiation and Policy Chair and is a member for the Birch Grove Building Committee.

Michelle has 3 children in the Tolland Public Schools, but her commitment goes far beyond her own children. She cares deeply about the quality of education for all students. She has advocated fairly and passionately for all students including at the State level, families, teachers, paraprofessionals and administrators.

Michelle has also been involved with the creation of innovative programs such as the LEAP program (that helps students be able to stay in district and be with their peers and saves costs on outplacement) and the Tolland Business Academy. Michelle has worked on operating and capital budgets for the schools during the most difficult budget seasons Tolland has ever faced. With making tough decisions, her advocating efforts have never stopped her in fighting for the best for Tolland Public Schools.

Please join me in electing the first Un-Affiliated into office in Tolland. Michelle will not let you down and will make sure every student has the best opportunity to learn no matter what level they are at.
