Letter: Supporting Jacob Marie In Tolland

To the Editor:

It is my great pleasure to endorse Jacob Marie for election to the Tolland Board of Education. I have known Jacob for several years and I have worked with him as a member of the Tolland Republican Town Committee. He is passionate, full of energy and is highly motivated. He is a recent graduate of Tolland High School and is currently studying economics at UConn.

He is someone who greatly benefitted from his experience as a student in the Tolland schools. Jacob has a perspective and understanding of what works and what does not work in the classroom. He understands that the basic requirement of a primary and secondary education is to prepare students for future challenges. If elected, he plans to increase opportunities for vocational counseling and make sure every resource is used effectively. He will also act to keep education affordable.

He will be engaged at all levels and will advocate for every one of Tolland’s students.
Jacob has a long record of public service. He is a member of Tolland’s WPCA and is Vice President of the College Republicans at UConn. He is active on the Tolland Republican Town Committee. Additionally, Jacob is a lector at St. Matthew Church and is both an assistant scout master and an Eagle Scout. For all these reasons, it is my pleasure to endorse Jacob Marie election to the Tolland Board of Education.
