Letter: TFD Thanks Carmichael Plumbing and Heating for Donation

To the Editor:

We would like to thank everyone at CRA CAR, LLC for its significant donation of equipment and office workstations to Tolland Fire Department and Tolland Emergency Management. Conservatively valued at more than $11,000 we are grateful for all of the items. Significant donations such as this allow us to have equipment that we would otherwise be unable to afford.

Valued at more than $4,000 the equipment includes: 2-HDPE Gallon Drums (55 gal.), 1-Econn Gravity-Fed Portable Eye Wash (14 gal.), 1-Econn Wall Mounted Eye Wash, 2-Econn Wall Mounted Eye and Face Wash, 2-SDS Binders (3" Ring Size), 5-SDS Binders (1.5" Ring Size), 10-Cellular Phone Mounts, 6-CPR Micro mask, 9-Spring Grips, 5-SDS Binder Baskets, 80-Bridle Rings 4”, 8-Literature Holders, 10-Black Poly Darin Tarps with Hoses, 2-Bradley Gravity-Fed Portable Eye Wash (7 gal.), 2-Eye Wash Station Drain Buckets, 2-Delta Shopmaster Portable Dust Collector (AP300).

Seven office workstations/cubicles (wall panels, filing cabinets, countertops, under-mount lighting fixtures) were also donated. Valued at more than $7,000 these cubicles have been reconfigured and installed in the training room at the Fire Department’s Training Center, which doubles as the Town’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC). With this donation a significant impact has been made towards outfitting the EOC. Properly outfitting the EOC has been challenging due to severe space constraints and budgetary concerns.\
