Lightning Hits Homes In Tolland As Storm Rolls Through Town

TOLLAND, CT — Tuesday evening's strong thunderstorm kept firefighters busy well into the nighttime hours, officials said.

Lightning strikes were reported at several homes in town, fire officials said.

Several fire alarms went off in various sports in town, officials said.

At 9 p.m., Route 195, north of Goose Lane; and Rhodes Road near Birch Grove Primary School were closed.

Fire officials were still assessing the damage at 9:15 p.m.
