Open-to-all: Community Chanukah Celebration on Tolland Green!
Giant Menorah Lighting set for December 4th
“Chanukah celebrates the freedom of all mankind,” says Rabbi Yosef Wolvovsky, Executive Director of the Chabad Jewish Center. For this reason, the Center is organizing a joyous Chanukah event on Tuesday, December 4th on the Tolland Town Green. The festivities are free and open to all. “The Menorah [candelabra] and its candles have always been a symbol of unity,” says Wolvovsky.
The program, marking the third evening of Chanukah, will take place on the Tolland Town Green, in front of Town Hall. It is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm and is designed for young and old alike. All are welcome.
Hot drinks and “Latkes” (traditional potato pancakes) will keep you warm, the giant Menorah (9-feet-tall) will amaze you, the holiday music will have you singing, and you will have a chance to dance (and take pictures with) the Dreidel Mascot! There will also be free raffles.

“We invite the entire community to participate in this uplifting evening,” says the Rabbi. “You will come away inspired and full of joy!” The Rabbi emphasizes that this event is free of charge and open to all. Just come and celebrate.
Tolland’s Community Chanukah Celebration will bring joy to local residents. The event is sponsored by the Chabad Jewish Center. And you are invited!
