Santini Proposing Apartment Complex In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A developer known for massive projects has proposed an apartment complex for a parcel behind a shopping plaza in Tolland.

The Tolland Planning and Zoning Commission and the local Inland Wetlands and Watercourse Commission have scheduled a joint meeting to view and discuss a conceptual design plan of proposed rental units by Vernon-based Santini Homes.

It is slated to take place remotely via Zoom on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.

The apartments would be called Fieldstone Ridge Town Homes and be located at 10 Fieldstone Commons, behind the Big Y Plaza. One of Santini's newest town home complexes is located on parcels straddling Route 30 in Vernon. Santini also has a similar development in Ellington.

The proposed development would requite connection to public utilities, sewer and water services and a zone change, officials said.

No formal application has been submitted by Santini, officials said.
