TOLLAND, CT — State police said they have made a drug-related arrest as part of an ongoing investigation.

At 1:44 p.m. on Jan. 14, a trooper stopped a vehicle at the intersection of routes 30 and 74 as part of the probe, according to a report.

As he approached the vehicle, a trooper detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the inside and notices a plastic bag of the drug in the center console, a report indicates.

A state police dog was called to the scene and detected narcotics under a floor mat, according to a report. A scale and other drug-related items were also discovered, a report indicates.

The driver, 18-year-old Vernon resident Evan Jamieson, was charged with the sale of a narcotic substance and possession of a controlled substance.

He posted a $10,000 bond and is scheduled for a Feb. 3 court appearance, records show.
