Tell Us: The Bobcats and Bears of Tolland

The warmer weather has brought more than our human neighbors out of their winter slumbers.

Over the past few years, wildlife visitors have become quite a topic of conversation on Tolland Patch.

From mountain lions to bears to all the small critters that scurry across walking paths, scamper along the roadway and nibble on growing gardens, people can’t seem to get enough of posting pictures and comments about their most recent visitors.

The wildlife guest appearances seemed to have kicked off early year with already one bobcat and one bear sighting logged on the site.

Reader Laura Netro-Price posted this fantastic picture of a bobcat that she and her husband saw while traveling on Depot Road earlier this week.

Reader Carolyn Asplund Carneiro posted this great photo on the Tolland Patch Facebook page of a bear walking through a residential yard (remember to keep your trash inside and other items up high!).

Tell us, are there any animals that you want to see this year that haven’t visited in the past? How about a moose or an eagle? Are there any return visitors that you’d like to see again, such as a bear or deer? Where is the best place to view wildlife in town?
