Tolland Arrests Include Fugitive from Justice, Evading

July 28
At approximately 9:32 a.m., amotor vehicle was traveling in an erratic manner in left lane on I-84 eastbound west of Exit 69 in Tolland. The vehicle was clocked at 84 miles per hour in a reduced speed work zone and was subsequently stopped. The operator, Deshaun Addison, 23, 1479 Rd., Apt. 5A in the Bronx, was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice as New Hampshire State had an active arrest warrant.

At approximately 10:35 a.m., Daniel Jason Mills, 24, of 68 Slade Rd. in Ashford, turned himself in at Troop C on an active arrest warrant for fifth-degree larceny for an incident in Tolland. He was also charged with failure to renew registration, evading, unsafe backing, and sixth-degree larceny for an incident in Mansfield.

A vehicle collided with the rear end of a tractor trailer unit on I-84 eastbound approximately ½ mile east of exit 67 in Tolland. Minor injuries were reported. One driver was given an infraction for following too closely.
July 31
A vehicle was traveling southbound on Bald Hill Road in Tolland. The operator, Daniel E. Bolles, 40, of 28 White Rd. in Tolland, was using a cellphone while driving and struck a tree head on off the right shoulder. The vehicle overturned and Bolles suffered head injuries. He was transported to Rockville General Hospital by Tolland EMS. Bolles was charged with DUI, failure to drive right, and cellphone use while operating motor vehicle in motion. He was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and given a court date of Aug. 12.
