Tolland Business Awarded for Leading Workplace Practices

An IT consulting firm in Tolland was recently recognized for its "Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility."

OpenSky Corporation, located at 1 Technology Dr., was honored with the 2013 Alfred P. Sloan Award, ranking the company among the top 20 percent of employers nationally in terms of "programs, policies and culture for creating an effective and flexible workplace," according to a news release.


Roger Levasseur, president and CEO of OpenSky, said the company was "honored" to receive the award.

"We believe that when employees are empowered and engaged, they are the driving force behind the success of a company," Levasseur said in a prepared statement. 

"We are grateful to our employees for the exceptional IT problem-solving services that they provide and the award-winning growth and innovation that results," he said.
