Tolland to Celebrate "The Mighty Quinn"
The Tolland community will celebrate Quinn Ostergren, 4, has undergone two operations to remove a brain tumor and 13 months of chemotherapy.

The community will celebrate the end of a brave 4-year-old Tolland girl’s end to chemotherapy this weekend.
Quinn was diagnosed with pilocytic astrocytoma, a slow-growing brain tumor in August 2012. She had the tumor removed, but it grew back less than a year later and she required it to be removed again, said Stacey LaPlante, who is helping promote the event.
Quinn’s ordeal wasn’t over because there were still traces of the tumor in areas where it was too unsafe to remove. She had chemotherapy over the course of 13 months. Along the way many friends and family members helped; Quinn was even signed to the New York Yankees for a one-day contract earlier this year.
