Just after lunchtime, while returning from a fire prevention assignment, the crew of the ET240 truck came across a bag of groceries at the intersection of Merrow Road and the driveway to the Fieldstone Commons shopping center.

It was not just run-of-the-mill non-perishable stuff, but an insulated bag full of frozen food and other items that needed to remain cold.

"It was full of food — important food," crew members said. The items included a good amount of chicken nuggets and coffee creamer, staples for adults and children in any family.
