Tolland Food Pantry Fully Stocked, Officials Say
"Generosity" has led to a replenished inventory at the Tolland Food Bank.

TOLLAND, CT — After putting out a pole for provisions in early December, the Tolland Food Pantry's shelves are full and donations are on hold for the short term, town officials said.
"Due to the overwhelming generosity of Tolland Residents, the food pantry shelves are now fully stocked," town officials said. "As a result, we are postponing food donations until further notice."
Notices will be sent out with future food needs as they arise, officials said.

"Tolland Human Services is extremely grateful to our generous donors for wildly exceeding our expectations of the emergency food drive," officials said.
A plea had also been sent out in March, when the coronavirus pandemic broke out. Fire Chief John Littell and the staff at the Fire Training Center helped mobilize a food drive.
