Tolland High School Evacuated Friday After Bomb Threat
Students were sent home from Tolland High school in an evacuation procedure late Friday Morning.

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland High School was evacuated at lunchtime Friday for what school officials are calling "precautionary" measures.
The evacuation was ordered at about 11 a.m., according to students and parents.
One parent said traffic was "a mess" in the area and said her children were walking to a nearby home of friends until the area was clear. Other said they were driving home.

There was no immediate word on bus traffic and one parent said she was notified to pick up her children.
School system officials said more details would be released after the incident was investigated. They were terming the evacuation "precautionary."

Authorities, a student and parent said a bomb threat was written on a piece of paper at the school. A search yielded no results, authorities said.
