Tolland Looking For New Library Assistant

TOLLAND, CT — The town of Tolland is accepting applications for position of Library Circulation Assistant.

It's a 25-hour-a-week job, whose schedule includes nights and weekends.

The starting salary is $21.72-per-hour with benefits.

The position is responsible for routine circulation, shelf maintenance and clerical functions using an automated circulation system.

Here are the requirements:

Assist patrons in the use of library services and facilities. Min. req.: HS degree or equiv. w/2 yrs. office experience. Ability to make basic math calculations, maintain files and records, collect and organize information and computer experience is required. Must be able to relate positively to staff members and provide good customer service to the public. Ideal candidate has Library experience & strong computer skills including familiarity with social media.
