Tolland Man Dies In Memorial Day Car Crash
A Memorial Day accident claimed in Tolland claimed the life of a local man.

TOLLAND, CT — A crash on Route 74 on Memorial Day claimed the life life of a 23-year-old Tolland man, state police said.
State police released details of the 5:18 a.m. Monday cash Tuesday morning.
According to a crash report, a 2019 Subaru WRX sport sedan driven by Ryan James Bard, was heading west on Route 74 near the Evergreen Drive intersection. The car veered onto the right shoulder, then onto a grassy area and slid sideways, according to a crash report.

The driver's side of the car then slammed into a tree, according to a crash report.
The report indicates Bard died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Bard's listed address on Skungamaug Road is just a short distance away from the crash scene.
The crash is still under investigation, state police said, and anyone with information on the crash can call the Troop C barracks at 860-896-3200, Ext. 8064.
