Tolland Obituary: Audrey Bliss, 86

Audrey LaVina (Kloter) Bliss, 86, of Tolland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

Born in Ellington, the daughter of the late John and Marie (Hilgenstein) Kloter, she grew up and lived in Ellington before moving to Tolland over sixty years ago. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt.

Audrey was a beautiful, kind, compassionate giving person. Always put her children before herself. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved spending time with her family and had a special bond with each one. Audrey loved to read and usually read several books a week. She also loved watching the birds and kept the bird feeders filled even in the summer. Audrey loved animals especially all the dogs and cats she had over the years.

She leaves her two daughters, Candace Soucier and her husband, Robert of Vernon, and Heidi Corrigan and her husband, Patrick of Tolland; her two sons, Jeffrey Bliss and his wife Cheryl of Granby, and Gregory Bliss and his wife Candy of Newport, NH; her son-in-law, Wayne Soucier of Vernon, and her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and several dear friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Holly Soucier (Sept. 2017).

Her family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 7 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon.
