Tolland Top Business Nominee: Kids Academy Child Care Center​

TOLLAND, CT — Recently, Tolland Patch asked readers to nominate their favorite local business for a Business of the Year series. Many area businesses have managed to navigate the turbulence of 2020 with steadfast determination and an unwavering commitment to the clients they serve.

Kids Academy Child Care Center at 52 Rhodes Road in Tolland has dome it it without ever closing during the coronavirus pandemic. It's something owner Lori Jackman and Renee Vinton, the director for the past 22 years, have taken pride in.

"Kids Academy has been around since 1992," Jackman said. "We accept children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. We are proud to say we have staff working now who came to us as infants many years ago. Now they are adults and working here. We are a big family. We have never put a sign up outside as word of mouth has always kept our enrollment full. Our reputation speaks for itself."

Kids Academy features five extra large outdoor playgrounds and nine sunny classrooms.
